One of the best Desktop pcie wifi card

For those with desktop computers even SSF types. I have been using FebSmart Wireless Dual Band N600 cards due to the chipset they use. I have 3 of these and work flawless.

This will explain why

Yeah, anything using Ath9k/Ath10k should work without too many issues (9k out of the box, 10k with firmware installation).  The only issue (IMO) is that Ath9k is rather dated now.  Ath9k is Wireless-N devices, and with Wireless AX becoming more and more common, the limitations with Wireless-N will begin to show quite heavily.

I like the $10 pci-e adapters for m.2 cards + the Intel AX200 (if you're willing to run backports kernel for support) or Intel 9260AC (if you want to run the stock kernel) myself.  As well supported as the Ath10k (only firmware install needed) devices, but 9260AC also supports Bluetooth 5.0 (instead of 4.x), and of course the AX200 supports the modern Wireless AX (Wifi6) protocol, with Bluetooth 5 also.

I cannot use the 802.11N standard in my house only 802.11G it was built in 1994 and has thicker walls than new homes. My wireless modem does have AC but nothing else I own does. Have not even tried AC standard maybe the PS5 next year will have it.

And by the same idea, I can't use N in my home because my router is an AX that doesn't support anything other than AX or AC.  So N, B, G, A all are (purposely) unsupported.

I use only ALFA Network AWUS036NH WiFi adapters (I have three of them).
It uses Ralink RT3070 chipset, and has 150Mbps maximal speed (802.11n: up to 150Mbps).
Worked on all Linux distros I have tested without any single issue. Currently, I am testing it on Q4OS Centaurus.
Also AWUS036NEH is a good choice.
I would stay away from adapters with Realtek chipsets.
