...I really do miss those calls from a nice man telling me he'd found a virus on my Windows computer........haven't heard from him at all since the start of lockdown in March

Things certainly have changed havent they.  Its also amazing how many people have gone over to Linux and helping with installs at a distance is a pain.

My first linux - RedHat 5.xx...
Since the 200x in inet with linux and I have never seen a virus under links.
But losing touch with a friend ...
