....and what a difference.
A number of annoying little bugs have been squashed including the painful lag trying to set up keyboard shortcuts!!!!

I was playing with different distros with Trinity yesterday. I tried TTOS community build with Trinity Desktop. No sooner than I issued and apt update, than it updated the install to 14.0.9, so they must directly use the Trinity repos in their apt sources. It looked about the same, but some laptop keys came to life. Overall the build was quite unstable though, tossing lots of errors. I moved on.

Fortunately my experiences are completely the opposite. Based on Sparkylinux Minimal CLI edition, added Trinity repos and installed Trinity Base then added a few extra bits for sound.
The only problem I had was with the Baghira style config tool - but then I don't want to make my PC look like a MAC so I'm not that bothered.
Apparently they have also fixed the brightness keys issue that has affected laptop users up to now. Yes there are workarounds of course but good to see progress.

I was referring to the Trinity Community Edition of TTOS as being unstable. When the underlying OS is tossing up lots of errors it is hard to dig into the desktop environment.

Ran this with PCLinuxOS Trinity bin and it worked pretty well. Many issues that took me away from TDE were fixed. Im still going to try Sparky Linux that you recommended.
