Bootable Q4OS SSD on USB 3.0

Is the above possible (even if not recommended!)

I tried to run the installer and could choose the destination drive and partition scheme but grub wrote to the 1st HDD in the box not the target installation drive.

Re: Bootable Q4OS SSD on USB 3.0

Q4OS Centaurus, Trinity, install-cd - 64bit / x64

Used the normal install routine where you can choose various options... I did reduce the size of swap as % of drive as it nearly split 50/50

But I don't remember being asked about target for grub?

Yes, Q4OS installer installs Grub bootloader to the first device automatically, if Q4OS is the only operating system installed. A way would be to reinstall bootloader manually as installation finishes.
