New release of SeaMonkey is out and is fantastic!

I've always liked the SeaMonkey Suite and migrated over to PaleMoon because, for a while there, it wasn't getting any updates.  But, now it appears as though the developers are back on the scene and have recently released version 2.53.3.  A couple days ago I downloaded the update and am very glad to be using SeaMonkey for my web browsing and e-mail once again.

Ive used many web browsers, including Chrome/Chromium, Vivaldi, Brave, PaleMoon, Firefox, Midori, and a few others.  But out of all of them, SeaMonkey always has the better performance, at least for me.  It's nice and fast and I've had very few issues with web site compatibility... at least the sites I typically visit.

It runs really great on my older PCs, along with Q4OS.

Here's a link to the release notes for SeaMonkey 2.53.3.  There's no "install" for Q4OS, just download the tar.gz file, unpack and run the seamonkey script.

Current setup:  Acer Aspire One D257 / Q4OS Centaurus / TDE / SeaMonkey 2.53.8.1

I have been using SeaMonkey as my primary browser (in Windows) for the past few years and am very satisfied with it, too. I'll be checking the new version.

For this release, if you're updating a previous install, you'll want to read the release notes.  There are a few changes that will affect existing user profile data.

For my preferences, Pale Moon is a close second favorite, but it lacks the "suite".  SeaMonkey has the integrated tools/software that I enjoy using, too.  And I can leave it running constantly.  When I try using anything based on Chromium, they just get slower and slower, using up more system resources until they're just unusable.  So I always have to shut them down and restart them at some point (usually withing a couple of days).  Not so with SeaMonkey.

Quick note to point at https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3183, where I posted some SeaMonkey extensions links.
