Add Q4OS Widget Logo?

No biggie, just playing around with my Q4OS KDE desktop.

I've added the Simple Monitor widget but want to change the logo.

There is an option for this in the Plasmoid's settings (Tux, Ubuntu, Fedora, Manjaro, OpenSuse etc. logos are all available) and I've located the folder where the .svg files are kept (.local / share / plasma / plasmoids / org.kde.simpleMonitor / contents / images).

I've added a Q4OS logo to the folder. Problem is it doesn't show up as an option when I go to the plasmoid settings to change the image. Is there something simple I'm doing wrong? Something somebody out there can solve in a jiffy?

Re: Add Q4OS Widget Logo?

Well, I now know how to change the logo. Problem is I need a good Q4OS logo in .svg format. The conversions I've done don't work.

So, I'm changing my request for help a little. Has anyone got a/some Q4OS logos in .svg format?

Pretty please.

I'm afraid I've no idea if it is possible on TDE. I run KDE.

I can tell you, however, that:

The widget is 'plasmoid' called Simple Monitor and can be found in the 'add widgets' section of KDE Plasma.

As for the text with keyboard shortcuts, it's simple a notes application set to transparent.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Looks great, @deanr!  The addition of listing shortcuts is a great idea, I'm always forgetting the ones I don't use regularly.

@rajatkumarzala, I don't use it myself, but I think you can get a similar desktop widget for TDE by installing Conky.  The Q4OS FAQ Page also has some instructions on how to activate transparencies in Conky if you scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Yeah, I've been running BunsenLabs on my 8-year laptop and really like the look and flow of it. I tried several different things but just couldn't get Conky to work in plasma. So I cheated this way :-)
