Q4OS 2.7 "scorpion" please maintenance.

Q4OS 2.7 "scorpion", but when the kernel is upgraded from 4.15.09 to 4.15.11 by the update manager, it cannot start.
Debian stretch is still under maintenance, so please be sure to perform "scorpion" maintenance.
Currently, Q4OS3.x is an OS that is not practical for me due to [bug that gdebi cannot be used] derived from Debian buster.

Gdebi can work on Buster, but it has not seen any development in a long while. It may not list the dependencies but it still resolves them and does the rest.

KDE also has its own package tool - though I have never found it satisfactory.

However, the simple solution is to navigate to the folder that contains your .deb file and open Terminal/Konsole there.

Then do

sudo apt install ./name.deb

Or just open Terminal/Konsole anywhere and do

sudo apt install /path/to/package/name.deb

Either way apt will go off and sort it out for you.

As regards the kernel issue - to start with please can you post the output from

inxi -F

You may need to install inxi first.

Re: Q4OS 2.7 "scorpion" please maintenance.

We are not able to reproduce issue, kernel upgrade went fine here. It seems to be a hardware specific bug, even a Debian one, as Q4OS uses the genuine Debian kernel.

- What installation media did you use ?
- Would it be possible to post an exact procedure to reproduce the issue ?
- A brief hardware specification ?

Anyone else noticed the issue ?
