Problema durante la instalacion

He intentado instalar Q4OS desde una ISO en memoria USB en un HP de 32 bit con un disco particionado:
C:\ .- Tenia Windows vista y 254 GB. Es donde iba a instalar Q4OS
D:\ .- Tenia unos programas y era 10 GB. No son relevantes
E:\ .- Tenia Datos y 230 GB.
F:\ .- Tenia la particion de recuperacion de windows

Durante la instalacion de Q4OS, hubo un mensaje de error

Parece que las particiones D, E, y F estan pero no puedo hacer la recuperacion del sistema Windows

Si miro con un Live de Lubuntu, indica como si se hubiera unido todas las particiones del HDD

Si vuelvo a intentar la instalacion de Q4OS, veo las particiones pero no tengo acceso a ellas, de momento solo he trabajado con la C. Era donde estaba instalado windows y se iba ainstalar Q4OS.

La de datos (la E:\), no la he tocado, pero es como si no estuviera. Como podria acceder a ella?

¡Esto es bastante difícil de explicar para mí ya que no soy un gurú de Linux y no hablo español!
En mi computadora portátil tengo un solo disco duro. Lo tengo particionado en 3 particiones. La primera partición tengo Windows 8.1, la segunda es para Q4OS y la tercera es para datos.
Cuando se inicia en Windows, muestra Windows en la unidad C: \ y la unidad de datos en D: \.
PERO en Q4OS muestra Windows en / dev / sda1, Q4OS en / dev / sda2 y la unidad de datos como / dev / sda3.
Los 3 están en un disco duro continuo, pero están separados por la partición.
Entonces, para Linux no debería ver C: \ o D: \ but / dev / sdx (donde x puede ser a, b, c, etc.). El número después de / dev / sdx suele ser el número de partición.
Si instaló en la primera partición y luego en el arranque, debería ir a un menú donde puede seleccionar arrancar Q4OS (si tiene más de un sistema operativo como yo con Q4OS y Windows 8.1).
Si el software se instaló sin error, entonces no sé mucho más que puedo decirte. Si recibió algún error durante la instalación, publíquelo aquí y es posible que podamos ayudarlo más.

This is rather difficult for me to explain since I'm not a Linux guru and I don't speak Spanish!
On my laptop I have a single hard drive. I have it partitioned into 3 partitions. The first partition I have Windows 8.1, the second is for Q4OS, and the third is for data.
When booted in Windows it shows Windows on drive C:\ and the data drive on D:\.
BUT in Q4OS it shows Windows on /dev/sda1, Q4OS on /dev/sda2, and the data drive as /dev/sda3.
All 3 are on one continuous hard drive, but are separated by the partitioning.
So, for Linux you should not see C:\ or D:\ but /dev/sdx (where x may be a, b, c, etc). The number after the /dev/sdx is usually the partition number.
If you installed on the first partition then on boot it should go to a menu where you can select to boot Q4OS (if you have more than one OS like I do with Q4OS and Windows 8.1).
If the software installed without error then I don't know much more I can tell you. If you got some error during installation then post it here and we may be able to help you more.
Like I said, I'm no guru and some of them are free to correct anything I got wrong!

Muchisimas gracias por su respuesta. Para mi es de gran ayuda, y sus conocimientos creo que son altos. Yo no tengo ninguno.
Soy nuevo con linux, es para usarlo en un Hp C700 que me regalo mi hija pues ya no lo usa.
Lamento no hablar idiomas y con mi edad (68 años) no creo aprenderlos ya. Lo siento ya que la comunicacion es mas sencilla.

Si dio error. Fue casi al final de la instalacion.

Volvere a intentar la instalacion y copiare el error para ponerlo aqui.

El sistema tenia, como le dije, un solo disco físico con cuatro particiones.
En la primera estaba instalado Windows Vista (era el original del PC) y ahi es donde intente instalar Q4OS sin exito. No toque nada mas.

En cuanto pueda vuelvo a intentar instalar Q4OS y pongo aqui todos pasos y los mensajes que me de durante la instalacion.

Muy agradecido por su ayuda.

Intenté instalar de nuevo Q4OS, los pasos fuero

1.-Puse como idioma español de España, y como teclado español.

2.- Indica que carga los componentes adicionales....

3.- Introduzco en nombre de la cuenta de ususario y su pasw.
Introduzco el nombre de la cuenta de usuario y su pasw.

4.- En zona horaria "peninsula"

5.- En particionado del disco, con "Guiado - Utilizar todo el disco" se ve el resumen y los puntos de montaje configurados

SCSI2 (0,0,0) Sda 500.1 GB ATA Toshiba MQ01ABD0
#1 primaria - 254.8 MB B Ext4
#5 lógica - 499.8Gb

6.- Solamente indico formatear #1 a "ext4"

Veo como opciones (que no toco nada)
formatear particion no, mantener los datos actuales
punto de montaje ninguno
opciones de montaje defecto
marca de arranque activada
Cambiar tamaño particion (actualmente 254,8MB)
Borrar los datos de la particion
Borrar partición
Se ha teminado de definir la partición
Finalizar el particionado y escribir los cambios en el disco

Doy a seguir, y me da el mensaje siguiente:
No hay sistema de ficheros raiz
No se definio un sistema de ficheros raiz
Corrija esto en el menú de particionado

No se como he de corregir lo que me indica. Espero tu respuesta.

You need to select "Finish partitioning and write changes to disk" option only.

La instale en un USB con Rufus

Your CPU is 64bit and so I cannot see any reason the machine would be limited to 32bit? It might be worth trying the 64bit version...

Asi que baje la "q4os-3.9-x64.r1.iso" y la instale en una USB con Rufus

La arranco como Live y funciona bien un rato. Luego se bloquea.

Gracias amigo. Y reconozco que tienes razón es de 64 bit. (no se porque trajo un windows de 32 bit de origen, tal vez por precio mas bajo)

Asi que hare lo siguiente:
1.- Instalar el Q4OS en la particion que estaba W. Vista

2.- Dejare las otras particiones como estan

Y ya contare el resultado

Hice lo siguiente

Arranque en modo live, (la usb creada con la iso de 64 bit). Luego intente instalar Q4OS desde el icono que queda en el escritorio, pero no fue posible.

Me dio este error

El instalador falló al crear la particion en el disco

Lo hice tres veces, y el resultado fue el mismo.

Alguna idea?
