nomacs instead of konqueror

is it possible to replace konqueror with  say nomacs as default image viewer?

Yes. I use nomacs, as well. Make sure the viewer you want to use (nomacs) is installed. Right-click on a JPG/PNG in Konqueror, choose "Open with" from the menu, choose nomacs. This will update the system preferences for Image files. This should also work in most other File Managers, if you are not using Konqueror as your file manager.

You can also go through the Trinity Control Center > TDE Components > File Associations, if you want to associate multiple file-types to nomacs that may not have gotten tagged on using the "open with" method.

Right click on image>Open with>Browse to nomacs and select.

Then click the Remember association box at the bottom.

I always use this process for linking apps to files with Konq and it usually works fine.

Just tested with nomacs - the above works.
