moving from mint

I tried to install over Mint19 a few weeks ago and screwed up everything. Nothing would start after reboot and had to reset everything in the Bios as for some reason the USB was still listed as a drive and boot would's pass it.
Same disk work fine on an old lap-top while failed on a new desk top so I've put that down to it not been idiot proof.

Anyway, I've downloaded a new copy q4os-2.6-x64-kde.r5.iso and made another bootable usb.
On Mint they suggest checking the iso file before trying to use it, I haven't seen mention of this so is q4os safe to try without a sum check?

Re: moving from mint

The checksums are all available from the download page (at the bottom) so can be checked, I always do that as a matter of course with all images that I download just to be sure I am getting what the developers want me to get.
