Installation went flawlessly.
Was wondering where Synaptic was?
Go to Discover and it shows that it is installed but it fails show up in the list of installed apps via menu call.

We can confirm, there was a glitch in KDE Plasma, Synaptic didn't show up in the start menu. It is now fixed, you only need to update the system:
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt dist-upgrade
