Slowly trying to get away from Evernote and Onenote but the Linux alternatives are few.
Joplin seems to be the closest but can't get it installed.
Maybe someone has a better, easier alternative?

Did you try using the appimage available from the github page? It works on my system.

Yes.
But me no, no.
Did download it and double clicking on it opens up Brasero.

You should give it execute permissions
chmod +x Joplin-1.0.105-x86_64.AppImage
from the directory containing the file and then you should be able to double-click it or type
./Joplin-1.0.105-x86_64.AppImage
in a terminal.

Thank you Dai_trying!
Double checked downloaded file and it has exact match in name but this is 1st error message:
chmod: cannot access 'Joplin-1.0.105-x86_64.AppImage': No such file or directory
Did add sudo too.
