New Libre Office - PDF ... [solved]

Greetings all

My previous 5.xx version would serve-up the just-completed pdf file for review in Okular, which
allowed one to make instant changes to the source document without going thru the dreaded
MS song & dance keystroke, mouse-click-from-hell ritual ... now its AWOL - cant find a single
instance where I can invoke it either - Google is absolutely clueless on this one - many thanks

Regards

Jack

Re: New Libre Office - PDF ... [solved]

5.37 is the stable version and I havent had any issues with it so far.  5.4.4 is the more recent version for early adopters and havent had any issues with it either. Libreoffice 6 is still a beta.

You could try reverting to 5.3.7 and see if it works for you.  I linger on older versions as I tend to get less issues and wait till a newer version is out for awhile and considered stable.

Re: New Libre Office - PDF ... [solved]

When I had more play-time on my hands, one of our favorite lines was RTFM - it still applies
Whilst in LO File - hit Export as PDF - under PDF Options, check 'View pdf after export' box

Done ...

Saves several annoying repeat steps when formatting weird documents - accepts multiple over-writes also
