¿How to know the version of the operating?

How to know the version of the operating system installed on a computer?

Orion or Scorpion

can be updated using

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade?

Thank you very much for the information

Re: ¿How to know the version of the operating?

From the command line (console) you can type get-q4os-version and it will give you the version number, if it begins 1.8 then it is Orion else if it begins 2.4 it is Scorpion.
Updates can indeed be installed that way (sudo apt-get dist-upgrade) just remember to sudo apt-get update first. smile

Re: ¿How to know the version of the operating?

I executed the commands sudo, s ( update and upgrade)

It seems that it does not update.

Re: ¿How to know the version of the operating?

you could enter

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

This would update your system to the latest packages available, but it will not upgrade to Scorpion. The devs have advised to perform a fresh install if you want Scorpion as often upgrading Os versions can be problematic.

Stick with Orion as the D620 would have issues with Scorpion.
