System freezes

Hi,
I would love to try this distro on an old netbook, but every time I try to install,
the system locks up - I mostly get as far as the keyboard layout.
Mint was working fine prior to this.
Netbook is an Asus Eee, with 2 gigs of Ram.
Any help would be appreciated!

Did you try Scorpion 2.4 or Orion 1.8.8?  Orion would be a better choice for your system.

We would recommend you to install from the 'Installation CD', see 2nd section of the download site http://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html

Which version of Mint were you using? 18.2? What DE?
