No sound with Q4-OS 1.4.12 in a VMware machine

I tested Q4-OS 1.4.12 (64-bit) in a VMware machine (that is Fusion 8.0.1
(3094680)). Everything went smooth up to the point when I tried to play a
clip from youtube. The video shows fine but there is no sound.

I tried the tricks of http://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4162#p4162 -
with no success.

Did anyone solve this problem already?
