customize IPv4, IPv6, and DNS.

Hello. I'm new to this forum.
I recently installed "Q4OS Aquarius, Trinity, install-cd - 32bit / i386".
I would like to know how to customize IPv4, IPv6, and DNS.
Thank you. Best regards.

Re: customize IPv4, IPv6, and DNS.

Welcome to the forum smile

For Q4OS Trinity, the easiest way to customize IPv4, IPv6 and DNS is to use NetworkManager applet. Right-click the NetworkManager applet icon in the system tray and choose Edit Connections. Select your network connection and configure the IPv4 and IPv6 settings, including DNS servers.

You can also inspect the current configuration from the terminal:
$ nmcli connection show
and:
$ nmcli connection show "<connection name>"

Good morning.

$ sudo apt install network-manager network-manager-applet

Unable to find package network-manager-applet.

Re: customize IPv4, IPv6, and DNS.

In the Software Center i found network-manager-applet, I installed it. Then I configured the IPv4 and IPv6 Dns.
I would have solved my problem.
Thanks.

p.s. I have another problem regarding the brightness management of the monitor in the evening: should I open another post?

You can easily achieve redshift in Trinity installing and configuring the "redshift-gtk" package. If you still need help, please open a new topic.
