Hello !
TDEClamUI is a lightweight, ultra-fast, native frontend for the ClamAV antivirus, specifically designed and optimized for the Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE).
Originally inspired by ClamUI (written in Python/GTK4/libadwaita), this project is a complete clean-room rewrite in C++ using the TQt3 and TDE APIs. It delivers a high-performance native desktop experience with near-zero startup latency, minimal memory usage, and advanced security features.

TDEClamUI combines an extremely lightweight architecture with a comprehensive set of security and usability features. It integrates unofficial ClamAV signature databases such as SaneSecurity and URLhaus, with automated daily updates, signature verification, mirror management, and automatic recovery from FreshClam CDN rate limits. System operations are carefully handled asynchronously, with deferred initialization of resource-intensive components, keeping the interface responsive at all times.
The application also includes an advanced security audit tailored specifically to TDE, checking system integrity, X11 authorization, IPC permissions, TDEInit/KRunner state, and user privileges. Scan profiles and their settings are automatically preserved between sessions, while live engine and service statuses, clear status indicators, and improved formatting provide a polished and consistent user experience.
Finally, TDEClamUI provides a secure integrated scan scheduler supporting both systemd timers and cron. All scheduled commands are built using strict argument validation and escaping, providing strong protection against command injection while remaining unobtrusive and fully integrated with the desktop environment.
.deb package and .qsi packages provided for easy installation.
