Changing font size

How to change application font size in VLC Media Player and Synaptic Package manager? Editing ~/.gtkrc-q4os and ~/.gtkrc-q4os-kde4 does not help.
Shotwell also refuses to change font size.

Re: Changing font size

VLC Player and QT4 apps fonts:
Install 'qt4-qtconfig' package:
$ sudo apt-get install qt4-qtconfig
run:
$ qtconfig-qt4
update settings for QT4 applications

or manually edit '$HOME/.config/Trolltech.conf' file.

GTK applications:
Edit '~/.gtkrc-q4os' file.

Re: Changing font size

Thank you! Partially this helped. Unfortunately Synaptic Package manager and Nautilus still have small default 9 font.

Re: Changing font size

Edit '/root/.gtkrc-q4os' and '/root/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini' files to change Synaptic font, as it's ran with root uid.

For GTK3 applications like Nautilus you have to edit '$HOME/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini' file
