Easy Effects issues

I have version 8.2.0 installed from flatpak. It's a mess. When I turn it on, and use just the equalizer, I hear the infamous bleep tone going on nonstop. When I turn on more than one effect, the sound almost disappears and sounds muffled.

Should I uninstall 8.2.0 and use the q4os version instead?

Re: Easy Effects issues

I'm using Q4OS 4 based on Debian 11, and there's no Q4OS-specific version of easyeffects in Q4OS Software Centre.

Oddly enough, the easyeffects 7.0.0 package is available on the Debian 11 website (https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/easyeffects) but doesn't appear in the list of packages retrieved with `apt list easyeffects`.

Instead of using easyeffects from Flatpak, try installing the package corresponding to the Debian version your Q4OS is based on:
see https://packages.debian.org/search?suit … asyeffects

Yes, we would recommend you to remove the flatpak version and install from repositories:
$ sudo apt install easyeffects

Re: Easy Effects issues

That's what I ended up doing, installing from the q4os repo. Works for me now, thanks. smile
