Issues with conky on Q4OS 6

Hi, I've recently migrated from Q4OS 4 (Gemini) to 6 (Andromeda), staying on Trinity desktop, and I've spent the last week trying to figure out how to make conky work. My config files simply failed to work on Andromeda. It was an upgrade from conky version 1.11 to 1.22 and I've finally figured out what the problem was, so I thought I'd share it with you in case you run into the same issues.

The problem was with the 'normal' window type in conky. An 'override' window worked just fine, but with that window type there's no way to make transparency work, and I really needed that for my conky. I thought that when the 'normal' window type was specified in the config file conky failed to create a window at all but it did - it's just that is was way too small to notice (5pixels x 5pixels). After a week of trial and error I discovered that what you need to do in this situation is to include the cpu variable in conky. If you use conky as a system monitor you obviously include it in your config, but I prefer to use conky for desktop ornament, so my config files didn't include it and that's what made them fail to produce a decent-sized window. So if you're in a similar situation to mine, add the cpu variable and if necessary (= if you don't want to see it) offset it way off screen.

I don't know if this is to do with the version of Trinity compositor or of conky (or both) in Andromeda, but I couldn't find a single mention of this problem on the Internet. Anyway, it's solved now, but if anyone has a better solution I'll be happy to read about it.
