Grub loader non installato

Buonasera a tutti ,
necessito di aiuto:
ho installato q4os-5.8-i386-instcd.r2 su Dell Wyse 3040 , ma durante l'installazione mi comunica che non si puo' installare il grub e che quindi il sistema non partirà . Mi dice : avviare manualmente il kernel /vmlinuz dalla partizione /dev/mmcblk0p2 usando root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 come argomento del kernel...quindi termina l'installazione e al riavvio...schermo nero,tutto fermo. Come fare?
