What happens if you choose to stay on Q4OS 5.8 Aquarius instead of upgrading to Q4OS 6.1 Andromeda?

Nothing happens 
If you are happy with your Aquarius installation, we can recommend that you continue using it. You will receive support and updates for Aquarius for another 3 years.
