Making a Netgear USB N-300 Wireless adapter (WNA3100) work on Q4OS

Hi, I have Q4OS 6.1 Trinity installed on a old Dell Vostro 200 that doesn't have a built in wireless adapter. I have plugged in my USB WNA3100 wireless adapter and the Trinity device manager does recognize the adapter with "Broadcom BCM43231" in the name. The driver listing is empty in the device manager properties page. My online research into solving this problem has pointed me towards installing and using ndiswrapper to get the adapter working on Linux. Is ndiswrapper the best method to make my Netgear USB wireless adapter functional in Q4OS? If so, can I install and use ndiswrapper despite it not being officially supported on current versions of Debian (that Q4OS is based on)?

Seriously - don't waste your life on that thing. Ndiswrapper was always a bit flaky at best.
Just get one of these - I have several on different linux boxes. plug and play!
