New KDE in Andromeda gives me headaches

Hi,

The new KDE Plasma in Andromeda (running in a VBox VM under Q4OS KDE Aquarius at this moment) gives me two headaches, related to the "taskbar with text and icons" mini program (widget):

- when I click a program icon in the task bar, that icon disappears as soon as the app is opened and being shown in the zone right from the icons; under the KDE in Aquarius, the icons don't disappear. Now the icon only comes back when the app is closed. Can this behavior be changed?

- when I hover the mouse over a started app in the task bar, the preview is scrambled (might be related to the VBox VMSVGA display adapter configured for the Andromeda VM). Anyone else having these issues?

Best,

T.

Add1 We can't reproduce that, icon doesn't disappear. Would you post a screenshot ?
Add2 Yes, we are able to reproduce in a VM, that seems to be issue with the Virtualbox display driver.

Re: New KDE in Andromeda gives me headaches

Dear team,

again amazed by your speed of reaction and kind willingness to help people (even for only little glitches). This is really very much appreciated, thank you.

Here is a short clip, starting with Aquarios (bare) and then Andromeda (VM):

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

Re: New KDE in Andromeda gives me headaches

PS

I have tried VBoxVGA and VBoxSVGA display adapters, but both behaviors remain.

Best,

T.

Re: New KDE in Andromeda gives me headaches

Add1 We can't still reproduce, maybe some configuration option ? We will investigate further.
Add2 It seems to be more common issue as it's reproducible on various hardware and VMs. However we consider it an upstream issue as it's reproducible on vanilla Debian as well, see the attachment.
