I have connected to both my bluetooth speakers. I use an Echo Pop beside my bed. It connects fine, but shows a picture of an internal sound card. The sound is better than my laptop speakers, that is for sure. I have a small stereo with BT but it is -exclusive- and will not connect unless you unpair with the previous audio source. The stereo has an active woofer (6 1/2 inch) and about 50 watts (estimated) so it is excellent at listening to music. Both BT work correctly now.
Q4OS sound, even at 100% was very soft. It has a setting to increase the max volume so at about 130% it is loud enough to enjoy Pandora music.
I have long used Gmail for my eMail. I have played a bit with Thunderbird which connects to Gmail and downloads your messages. A fork of Thunderbird is called Betterbird and is available on Flatpak. I am happy to report Betterbird works fine on both Windows and Linux. Installation and setup is simple and it adds a good tool to work with Q4OS.
A few days ago, I asked about making a program shortcut on my desktop. No one replied so I thought I would have a hard time doing this. Again, I am happy to report Q4OS has made this simple. Use the WIN key, type Better, and you are shown the entry for Betterbird. Rt-Click and choose Add To Desktop. I have 4 shortcuts made: Betterbird, Nicotine+, Pinta, and Rustdesk. It seems Q4OS even puts these in alphabetical order.
