I don't know where to post, if this is some driver issue, or maybe even related to Nvidia, so I'll post here
I wanted to get rid of the password after stopping screensaver, but I thought it was related to power management (I already found it correctly under Screensaver settings)
But, while I was digging to find it, I tried to change settings at TDE Control Module
After enabling Global display control, monitor colors became unusable, like in a 16bit color mode.
Trying to disable it, or clicking on Revert changes countdown popup, did nothing.
It was only on HDMI output. Laptop screen was fine. Just HDMI output was affected.
So, I had to reboot to see if it would fix.
It fixed. Monitor colors are normal again now.
But I don't know what have caused this.
Is this a known issue? Maybe related to Nvidia?

CPU: quad core AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx (-MT MCP-)
speed/min/max: 1349/1400/2300 MHz Kernel: 6.1.0-37-amd64 x86_64After rebooting, global display control is still enabled, but I didn't try to edit anything on it.
---
I've used it before, right when I installed current system, to configure the monitor disposition, and it worked without any problems.
I don't know even why it was disabled (the global control), as I've used it before, it should have been enabled.
---
I'm not having any problems with my dual monitor setup overall, no graphics issues or anything, this was the first "problem" that I had.

Im a bit confused after reading your post. The hardware you posted isnt Nvidia, its a Ryzen 7 3750H cpu, with integrated Radeon Vega 10 graphics. Your reboot may have solved the issue but yes, it could be a driver issue.

It's nothing to do with drivers. This is a feature of TDE. It has driven me round the bend since year dot and is the one reason I have given up on Trinity, especially in a laptop/external dual monitor environment.
Other DEs handle it no problem. You can have fun with all sorts of xrandr scripts and get it to work but the Global Controls thing is just junk.

Thanks for the heads up bin as Ive never seen that kind of behaviour before except in regards to Nvidia drivers. Radeon drivers Ive never seen the issue. TDE for me still has too many issues for me. I use to use KDE 3/4 in the day and Ive moved on.
