Can't open some applications under Gemini

Under Centaurus I used freeoffice2018 without any issue on my Asus EeePC. After a fresh install of Gemini and freeoffice the application won't open. A blank window titled "freeoffice" appears and spontaneously closes after half a second. Also vivaldi - installed from the repo indicated by qrepoadd --gui - refuses to open. Any idea?

Vivaldi for Debian opens fine here, you could try to use the dedicated installer, download it here https://github.com/q4os-installers/viva … a2_all.esh

Freeoffice was never directly supported in Q4OS, however you can try to install it according to Debian installation instructions. If it works under Debian, it will work in Q4OS as well. You can also try to run it from terminal and check the messages printed.

Thanks for your advice but both vivaldi and freeoffice still failed to open. The vivaldi installer indicated that the programme was successfully installed, there was no error notification.

During the installation of freeoffice a warning "Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion" appeared several times. But I'm not sure if this explains the failure. I can't exclude that the same warning showed up when I installed freeoffice under Centaurus. I just don't remember.

After installing Vivaldi via the .esh link and launching it in terminal I get

sudo apt install -f ./softmaker-freeoffice-2018_982-01_i386.deb
and launch the word processor I get
