Is it possible to run the Trinity in an ARM with Rockchip (3228A)?

Hi everyone,

I am very happy with Q4OS in my old netbook 32 bits running under Trinity interface. It runs fast. Thank you, guys.... MEANWHILE

Basically, I want to install Q4OS or Trinity in a TVBOX, which has an ARM architecture with a ROCKchip processor 3228A, 4-core, 1G-ram and 8G_ROM

Thanks in advance for any help or give me some explanation about  what happened?

Q4OS does support ARM. I am running it well on the Pinebook Pro which I believe is built on some Rockchip. Q4OS also supports other Pine ARM products. Q4OS runs several Raspberry Pi models as well. I have ran it on the Pi 3B+ which is a 4 core 1GB RAM board. Q4OS runs quite well on the Pi, however under normal use you find it best to stick with one running app at a time, and one browser window at a time at least for intensive sites.

ARM seems to pose a particular challenge for Linux. ARM booting is different, most of ARM's firmware is proprietary. Overall that means each individual ARM board requires a significant investment from the developers.

Many TV settop boxes based on ARM used a custom version of RISC OS, and perhaps with some hacking you could expose the underlying OS and use general purpose software developed for RISC OS. That is just a wild guess though.

Thanks Bill for you explanation. Really, the Pinebook Pro is a Hexa-Core Rockchip RK3399. However, it sounds quite strange once
in  (https://q4os.org/dqa012.html).t m l brings the steps to install it on an Armbian pre-installed.

look the steps:

It's possible to install the old stable Q4OS 2 Scorpion for armhf. Q4OS 3 Centaurus stable is not available for armhf architecture, the only exception is the Q4OS 3 for Raspberry Pi, see https://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html#downloads_spechw

Q4OS 3 Centaurus is available for the arm64 architecture.
