laptop, number of things do not work, brightness, volume keys, touchp

I liked q4os so much I finally installed it on real hardware. a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 20C6008SUS (A haswell i5 laptop)

But I cannot get a number of things to work.

- My touchpad is very jerky, and the scrolling does not work. there's no option to configure it under the relevant settings menu.

- Volume keys do not work, I figured this wouldn't be an issue, since they worked out of the box on openbsd and solaris 10.

- Brightness keys, also does not seem to work. The monitor is stuck at 100% brightness and doesn't change depending on battery, or ac power state.

my laptop bios is not configured to use the fn key for brightness/volume, but I enabled that and tried using it with the fn key anyways and it still didn't work.

This is the ONE distro that has actually installed properly without self destr
ucting within an hour of use, and i'm really liking it otherwise, so i'd love to get it working. q4os truly is a hidden gem, as is the trinity desktop.

Looks like the volume key is working in the mixer visually but doesnt actually do anything.

Looks like also my wifi disconnects if i open too many tabs...

Just forget it, linux as buggy as ever. I am formatting this and going back to openbsd, some things never change.

It is not even your fualt linux just fucking sucks.

Unfortunately, there are a few bugs in Trinity desktop version 14.0.6, what is used Q4OS Centaurus, they affect laptop hardware keys, so you likely encountered them. These bugs should be resolved in the coming Trinity desktop version 14.0.10, what will be deployed in Q4OS 4 Gemini.
