Printscreen => Screenshot?

Hello,

How I can use the Print-Button on my keyboard to generate a screenshot of a selectable area right way?

Kind Regards

Re: Printscreen => Screenshot?

For a selectable area it's a bit interesting. I suggest you look at the KDE screenshot tools - depends on whether your using Plasma or Trinity. Please always mention this as it is important in getting help from others.

ksnapshot-trinity allows access to DCOP commands - the user manual for it has lots of options

scrot as I recall was always the tool of choice. ksnip is a Qt based cross platform tool that may also work.

Once you've worked out the commands you just need to assign that to the required key combo.

Sorry I didn't read "selectable area", @bins options would be the preferred method.
