Mint repos?

Now that LMDE4 has been released, is it possible to to add the Mint repo as an option in the qrepoadd tool on Centaurus? I know I can add the repo manually, but having an easy method available might be appreciated by other users as well.

Re: Mint repos?

We want to add only reliable and compatible repositories into the "qrepadd" list. The Mint repositories could be incompatible with Q4OS some way, so it's not planned at the moment.

Re: Mint repos?

Fair enough. Most of the repos for the qrepoadd tool seem to be focused on one application as well so there's less chance of a conflict. Thanks for the response though!

Re: Mint repos?

One could also add "qrepoadd" custom repositories into the system. Just create a new relevant file in the "/usr/share/apps/q4os_system/q4p_repos/" directory. Added entry will show in the repositories list. Other files from this directory can be used as a template.

Re: Mint repos?

I just want to point out that using another distributions repository might make it very difficult for anyone to help diagnose any issues that might arise, even if the repository is not responsible for the issue it is still a lot of work to attempt to replicate your system and that would mean less possibility of resolving system errors that are not already covered on "the net".

Just my 2c, I'm not against anyone doing what they want with their system, just saying...
