Dependency problems installing packages from Trinity repos

In the past it was possible to add the Trinity Jessie repos to Synaptic and install Trinity items that are not in Q4OS.

There seems to be some kind of problem with doing that now. Here's a typical example where I was trying to install a simple Solitaire game that I have done in the past.

kpat-trinity:
Depends: libtdegames1-trinity but it is not going to be installed
  Depends: libtqt3-mt (>=4:14.0.2) but 4:14.0.1-0debian8.0.0+0 is to be installed
Depends: tdegames-card-data-trinity but it is not going to be installed

Is there any way round this?

Re: Dependency problems installing packages from Trinity repos

It's still possible and easy, just run in terminal:
$ sudo qrepoadd --gui
choose Trinity repo to add
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kpat-trinity

Re: Dependency problems installing packages from Trinity repos

OK -  I was using the repos as shown on Trinity web site for Debian Jessie http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/tr … .0/debian/ jessie main

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sadly there is something wrong as when I run kpat from icon nothing happens apart from CPU fan going mad. In terminaI typing 'kpat' I get:-

ASSERT: "i <= nodes" in /usr/share/tqt3/include/ntqvaluelist.h (381)

?????

I have tried reinstalling the package but no joy.

Yes, known TDE bug. It sometimes works and sometimes runs after a long period. You could report a bug here https://bugs.trinitydesktop.org

You can install 'aisleriot' game as replacement:
$ sudo apt-get install aisleriot

We don't recommend to use official TDE repositories, they are not fully compatible with Q4OS.
