Create USB pendrive boot mode

Hello guys,

I need to create a USB flash drive in a notebook that has UEFI, but I have some doubts.
Since I have already created several bootable bootable Ubuntu and Fedora, and installed on UEFI computers / notebooks, but have not yet tried to install on UEFI notebooks.

Doubts:
1) Is the precise pendrive in GPT format? And which program to use for formatting?
2) And the file system is FAT32?
3) What program can I use to create the pendrive? both in Ubuntu and Windows.

Re: Create USB pendrive boot mode

1. You can usually not worry about using gpt on pendrives

2. The usb stick can be fat32, but the actual filesystem of the iso image will be written to the stick.

3. In windows I use Rufus to create bootable usb sticks, and in Linux it is usually possible to simply use the cp command to create one although you will find more often tutorial sites would use dd to do the same. I think Ubuntu will likely have a GUI tool to do this as well, but I don't use it so not really sure, a quick apt search in Ubuntu for usb writer would likely turn something up.

Re: Create USB pendrive boot mode

Thank you very much.
I had these doubts but now everything has been clarified by its explanations and the right procedure of recording an image on the pendrive.
Greetings.
