Garmin Downloader

Is it possible to develop a Garmin friendly downloader for Q4OS...? I've been trying to update a Garmin Nuvi 1450 for the longest time, using Linux, really to no avail. I see a lot of posts on the web, talking about "how to" use Wine, and Ubuntu, but it's really convoluted... never works correctly. I think it would bring a lot more people to Q4OS.

Re: Garmin Downloader

Garmin is the problem and when companies stay proprietary, its difficult to create workarounds, especially within a single distro with so many devices that have the same issues, not just Garmin.

Re: Garmin Downloader

I ended up using my computer at work with Winblows 10 to update my Garmin. I emailed Garmin in their "ideas" forum to make Garmin Express usable with Linux(Q4OS) specifically. The suggestion will  undoubtedly fall on "deaf ears". At least I made the request.
