Hello,
Do you guys know of a good program, to run on Windows, to create a bootable Q4OS pendrive?
I use "LiLi USB Creator", but I would like to consider other options...

On Win and for Q4OS works fine the "Universal USB Creator":

I wanna say rufus worked for me when I had used it (this was a while ago w/ Orion installer not live edition). Not sure if it works with live version or with Scorpion.

Shouldnt be any issues with Rufus and the pendrive, as we are assuming hes wiping the pendrive to make a bootable drive anyway.

I've been using rufus for about 3 yrs now and never had any problems with it, I have found it to be one of the most reliable ways to burn an image to usb sticks (in Windows).

Yes it has been very useful to me, there is also etcher which I have heard some very favorable reviews from.

Im one of those rarities, as I dont use USB pendrives that much. I do have external hard drives but typically keep very important files on DVD. I use live cd/dvds more than pendrives given the wide variety/age of hardware I deal with, they tend to have less issues.

I rarely use CD/DVD media any more, only a couple of cases where the systems couldn't boot from usb (three systems in last 2 years) and I normally just dismantle them for spares as they are pretty old systems anyway.

Typically I run into bios issues even with some newer systems, and clients who have issues with me using USB drives on their systems.
Given my retrogaming habits I still use cd/dvd all the time.

I have had so many issues in the past with the reliability of cd's/dvd's when they get a little scratch or simply don't want to read on a particular drive so I pretty much gave up using them and have quite a stash of usb sticks now and I have only ever had one of them go bad on me in about 8 years, I even have an old 512Mb mp3 player (very old one) that I simply reformatted and can use that as a boot stick for smaller images, I'm not sure why or how it works, but I was stuck for a stick some years ago and tried using it and it worked! That one save me quite a lot of hassle at the time.=)

Its interesting how peoples experiences influence how they approach tech issues. Ive had so many issues with USB with various hardware that I continue to rely on cd/dvd but I dont avoid USB. Thats tainted though by the amount of older hardware Ive dealt with as I do use USB drives as I said as backup drives.
Pretty cool how you used that mp3 player. I keep my older laptop drives as portable USB drives and have always used my old hard drives as external desktop storage.
