The Scorpion installer did not remember my time zone choice

It's a very small issue, I had chosen the Poland/Warsaw time zone, but it was set to UTC after installing.

One more thing, the installer tells the user that they can install Picasa, but it does not seem to be available (it's not a problem, Picasa is no longer supported, but if it's not present maybe you shouldn't adertize it?).

Re: The Scorpion installer did not remember my time zone choice

I havent had that experience with Scorpion so far.  What ever time zone I pick its saved after the installer runs, how odd.

In regards to Picasa its not offered in the Q4OS software  center and checking Synaptic Picasa is also not offered in the repos.

Where does the installer tell you, you can get Picasa?

When you're waiting for the OS to install it displays these messages about what you can do with Q4OS. It's there.

Maybe I'll mention that my BIOS time is set to UTC, but I don't know if this should matter for the installer or not.

Re: The Scorpion installer did not remember my time zone choice

Must have missed that message after doing so many installs, I tend to look away to do other things.  My bios is also UTC so cant account for that.
Ill  try to pay more attention when I install to see Picasa but I use the installation cds far more often.

Yes, we can confirm this glitch by the live cd installer, it will be fixed in the next live media revision.

We will investigate it and post back a result as soon as possible.

Yes, we can confirm a Q4OS bug, live installer doesn't set the timezone correctly. This bug should be fixed in the next live media revision.

Re: The Scorpion installer did not remember my time zone choice

I use the installation cds primarily so I may have missed it with the live cd but good to know for clients.
I have to say the installation cds have been excellent and make mass installs very easy.

Both issues are now fixed in the current Q4OS Scorpion live media revision. Thank you for reporting.
