Latest Skype in Q4OS

Good day!
I have been using Skype 4.3 on my PC for a long time, but yesterday I was unable to connect to my friend. He told me, that my Skype is outdated, and he can not accept call. Then I have read this: Important notice: All Skype for Linux clients version 4.3 and older will be retired on July 1, 2017. To keep chatting, please install the latest version of Skype for Linux.
https://www.skype.com/en/download-skype … -computer/
So I removed my Skype 4.3.

Is it possible to install latest Skype 5.4.0.1 using Q4OS Software Centre, or I should install it manually from deb package?

And the bad news. As I have understood, now Skype is available only for 64-bit systems!
Skype for Linux System Requirements
64-bit Ubuntu 14.04+, 64-bit Debian 8+, 64-bit openSUSE 13.3+, or 64-bit Fedora Linux 24+
Either a built-in or external microphone is required for voice calls.
An internet connection.

Are there any Skype alternatives for Linux?

Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502   If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

Re: Latest Skype in Q4OS

32bit Skype for Linux is not available. There is only 64bit Beta version of Skype for Linux, version 5.4.0.1, available at the moment. It is not possible to install it using Q4OS Software Centre, please follow instructions for manual installation here https://wiki.debian.org/skype
