Wine on 64 bits system

When installing Wine from the software centre, it seems like some -amd64 packages are being replaced by -i386 packages. I realize Wine supports 32bits Windows applications. But I wonder, do these 32bit packages have any impact on Q4OS system performance?

No, the performance is not remarkably impacted. Q4OS wine installer makes use of the Debian 'multiarch' stuff and installs 32bit wine to support 32bit windows applications. If you want to have a clean 64bit wine to support 64bit winapps only, you can install wine directly from Q4OS/Debian repositories.
