Q40S new installation with Aquarius and full application

I have this installed on two different PCs,one works satisfactorily the other consistantly goes into sleep mode after only a short time and then i have to enter password for the system to show the desktop.NB I elected for automatic sign in during first installation but its obviously not working and I have been unable to change it using system settings. Can someone help me please,as i dont want to go through the rigmarole of uninstalling the OS and reinstalling it again!  Many thanks Michael

Re: Q40S new installation with Aquarius and full application

You give no information about your system. Please open a terminal, run 'inxi -Fxxx' and post the result.

while you are working or while it is idle? how long time?

You didn't find how to or the modification has no effect?

Re: Q40S new installation with Aquarius and full application

I don't know if you are using Plasma or Trinity DE (the beginning of the output of inxi is missing). If you are using Plasma, look both at "screen locking" and at "energy saving": each one has an option either to lock the screen or to suspend the session, requiring to type your password to return to your desktop.

Re: Q40S new installation with Aquarius and full application

i am using plasma, but have tried trinity but didnt like it,that much, plasma much better.btw i have tried both of those suggestions but they arent working as the screen keeps shutting dow and password is required.i have been thinking that the only difference wa between the two operating system installation was minimum installation and full installation..the minimum install is working as it should so maybe i should call quits on the full install and try minimum install?  michael

Re: Q40S new installation with Aquarius and full application

I have installed the "Basic" version and I don't have any similar problem, but it is Q4OS 4. No idea if the problem comes from choosing "Full" instead of "Minimal" installation.
