Additional desktops

Profiler offered 8 desktops to add to plasma.
BUT it gave a very severe warning.
"Only do this if you REALLY know what you are doing."

I certainly do not!
I am very familiar with linux mint cinnamon.
So I thought that cinnamon might be good to have.

Could you talk me throgh it?
Or should I avoid it?

You can install the Cinnamon environment using Desktop profiler. If the system will not work as expected, you will be able to remove Cinnamon and use the system as it was before. We strongly recommend you to save custom Desktop profile before the action as described https://www.q4os.org/dqa016.html , so you will be easily able to revert the system back to the original state.
