no wifi networks

Hello

I just installed q4os for the first time.
I have little experience in using Linux .
When I installed q4os there were no wireless connections at all when searching for them...
I am using an old laptop and my wifi device is:
Qualcomm Atheros AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter
driver: ath5k

(these are info from inxi -n)

Does anyone know the solution?
Thanks in advance

Re: no wifi networks

I also have a Qualcomm Atheros Wireless Network Adapter, although it is an AR9285, and everything works well.
I am using Q4OS Centaurus (4.10) with Plasma.
What are the complete outputs of the following commands (the second one without hyphen)?

$ inxi -n
$ ip a

Q4OS machines: [Samsung R519 - Pentium T4200 2.0 GHz - 4 GB RAM - 500 GB SSD] & [Sony Vaio - Pentium P6000 1.87 GHz - 8 GB RAM - 500 GB SSD]
