via graphics driver

i have installed q4os tde 32 bit latest on via c7 processor with via vx900 chipset.

however it seems to be using the vesa driver instead of the via unichrome driver.

how can you install the via unichrome driver and make it use the same?

Re: via graphics driver

As Q4OS is essentially Debian, you can follow any instructions for Debian as well.

Re: via graphics driver

Recent versions of Mesa no longer support the Via Unichrome drivers but they should still be available in the repos.

Re: via graphics driver

installed it facing issues with it ... trying to create an xorg.conf created as explained on the openchrome website

will report succes or error.

also my motherboard has LVDS conncetor and openchrome detects it and enables it even though no dosplay is connected to the connector

hence the desktop environment windowmanager n display manager all use extended display and hence screen divides into 2 parts

from monitor settings manually disable the second display and make few other settings and display is now ok but still some distortion at edge

will report here once i create xorg conf and see the effects
