Q4OS Trinity Desktop MacOS Theme

I'm curious, if there's any MacOS theme, or somehow a way, to make my Trinity Desktop looks like MacOS. I tried searching for it on Google and Youtube but I can't find any. So, I want to know if it's possible. If it is, please tell me how. Thank you.

Re: Q4OS Trinity Desktop MacOS Theme

I am not aware of a specific MacOS theme, but the Trinity desktop is highly customizable, so you can create many elements associated with the MacOS.

In the Control Panel, selecting "Desktop"/"Behavior" offer an option to create a global applications menu panel at the top of the screen. Once that has been created it is just a normal panel and right clicking on that panel will let you add "Applets". A box will appear with all the options available and you can add clock, weather, TDE Menu, etc. Once you have added these applets, you can right click on applet and have the option to move them to the desired position on the panel.

Once that panel has been set to your liking, you can right click on applets on the main default panel and move or remove items on that panel. Going back to the Control Panel/Desktop you can select "Panels" which provides options to place the default main panel, set its length and thickness and quasi morph it into looking like a dock.

You can dig through other settings available in the control panel to select colors, change window behavior. Overall you can create a big mess so patience is advised. You can use the Q4OS look switcher to get you back to the defaults enabling you to start over again.

Thank you for your reply. It's actually make it just a bit like Mac but there's so much things that I want to customize other than things you mentioned.

Re: Q4OS Trinity Desktop MacOS Theme

I started out on the MacOS, but have not been using it for many years. My motor memory likes a global applications menu in the top panel and I like the window controls on the left. Beyond that there is not much else Mac like that I know about. <trinitydesktop.org> has a section of user tricks and tips that has some information on customizing the look and feel.

Xfce's interface is almost like macOS.

It can be installed by selecting the desktop in the profiler.

@aluma
The title of this topic: "Q4OS Trinity Desktop MacOS Theme". The OP asks for the Trinity specific way.
Please keep the discussion clear and valuable, especially in the Support section. The valueless posts veers the discussion off course and makes solving more complicated. Such posts will be removed.

@q4osteam

Take a look here https://www.trinity-look.org/browse/cat/ there are a few macOS themes to choose from, and other things too.

Re: Q4OS Trinity Desktop MacOS Theme

OK - there's MACOS and there's macos and there's umpteen OSX versions as well - so it's a bit hard to know what you're looking for.

This may not work but you won't know unless you try. It does work in Gemini. You won't break anything if it doesn't in the current release.

However - you may want to take a look at this:-
https://trinitydesktop.org/news.php
https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/images/ … creen1.png

If you like the Baghira look, this is a link to the style folder in TDE 14.0.10

http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/tr … a-trinity/  leading you to
http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/tr … _amd64.deb

I would rename the downloaded file to something like baghira.deb and then install this by using 'sudo dpkg -i baghira.deb'

You'd also do well to run 'sudo kcmodules --unlock' in Konsole before running control center to access the Style and also the Window Decoration settings and selecting Baghira in both.

You're going to need to fiddle with your font settings as well as some of the controls look a bit rubbish with some fonts.

As with any mix and match YMMV and yes I know about mixing packages from different releases but this is just eye-candy.
