Wonderful are your deeds, o Lord !

Two computers, a desktop and a netbook. Installed on a desktop a year ago, and on a netbook a month ago q4os-2.7-i686pae.
The update manager at work and both operating systems are practically the same.
But on a desktop, Synaptic requires a password to run, but on a netbook it immediately opens it.

About chromium.

Google has restricted access to its API since March this year. (https://blog.chromium.org/2021/01/limit … ty-in.html).
Maybe that's why there have been so many complaints about him lately?

Even more interesting, we download the latest release from the offsite, unpack it, try to look at the properties of the "chrome" file in the konqueror file manager, konqueror crashes.

About home wi-fi.

Once, looking at the picture of the Wifi Analyzer in the tablet, I set channel 13. But my ancient kindle (with android 2.0) only supports up to 12th.

And I, without looking, installed 8 on the router.

An interesting situation arose!
Periodically, there was a refusal to ping sites other than the Internet segment of my country. For example, google.com.
Only restarting the computer helped. It turned out that the 8th channel is used by three more of my neighbors (although their signal is 20 dB lower than mine).

The problem was solved by choosing another channel, as free as possible.
For Linux there is an analogue of Wifi Analyzer, the LinSSID program (https://sourceforge.net/projects/linssid/), works great, even with Q4OS 2.7.
