nvidia driver installed but not being utilized

(noob question) I tried running blender and some 3d games but the framerate is very slow unlike when i boot with windows
I have NVIDIA GTX 950 and i installed the proprietary driver from the software center. I also installed the KDE version if that helps.

how do i fix this issue?

Re: nvidia driver installed but not being utilized

i forgot to mention that whenever i tried to install bumblebee or that i386 thing i forgot, it shows me a blue screen error saying, mismatching nvidia kernel module loaded saying this issue can easily be fixed by rebooting after installation but whenever i do (which this has happened 3x already) it wont boot the gui and im stuck in debian command line

Re: nvidia driver installed but not being utilized

If you're stuck in the command line just login and then type systemctl start gdm3 (or any other display manager u are using) and then you can select your display manager agin
