Got 4 machines running Debian Trixie.
My desktop - AMD Ryzen 5900X (eco mode so 65w TDP instead of 105w), 64GB DDR4, 2TB (/boot/efi & /)+1TB (/home)+1TB (windows)+512GB (/var) - Basic Trixie
Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G8 IAL - Intel Core Ultra 7 255H, 64GB DDR5, 2TB (/boot/efi & /) + 2TB (/home), Intel BE200 Wifi 7, 2.8K LCD - Trixie w/ Zabbly kernel
Lenovo ThinkPad P14s G4 AMD - AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, 64GB LPDDR5, 4TB, Qualcomm QCNFA725 Wifi 6E, WUXGA low-power LCD - Basic Trixie
Lenovo ThinkPad E14 G6 AMD - AMD Ryzen 7 7735U, 64GB DDR5, 4TB, Qualcomm QCNCM865 wifi 7, WUXGA low-power LCD - Trixie w/ Zabbly kernel
Overall I like Trixie, but it's already starting to get a bit long in the tooth with it only having Plasma 6.3.6 whereas 6.4.4 has been released. I dare say I won't stay Trixie long after it's released before moving to Forky with how outdated it already is before it's even hit release.

Thats my issue with Debian as Ive been on some Ubuntu based distros that are far more up to date like Neon. Recent updates to Neon are amazing and Ive enjoyed running KDE 6.4.3. The more I use KDE 6.4.3 the less I want to go back to using KDE 5.27.5.

Are you running a video card with the Ryzen 5900x?

Oh yeah, the ancient Radeon 5600XT.
I still miss Norbert Preining so much. He was the best, he was the one that kept updated Plasma repos for Debian, allowing you to run the latest Plasma (or very nearly) on Debian stable. Debian did themselves a HUGE disservice when they alienated him from their dev community.

I was running the RX 6600 but got a RX 5700 XT cheap so Im running that right now. Im amazed in many games how much faster it is than the RX 6600. I use to be satisfied with older builds but KDE 6 is really nice and going back is less and less an option.

@tlmiller76, Just got KDE 6.4.4 this morning on Neon and so far its running very well.

Yeah, I need to update Neon to get it, although I got it a day or so ago on the first of my EndeavourOS machines.

Im pretty hooked on the recent KDE and not sure I can stand going backwards.

Yeah, just moving back to 6.3.6 on Debian is rough. There's enough good changes in 6.4 that it's massively worth it.

Im heavily leaning towards KDE 6.4.4 and staying where I am right now.

@tlmiller76, not sure where Ill be so Ill check back in this thread to see what's happening on your end.

Ive made my decision tlmiller76 based on recent happenings, Ill hopefully see you around.

I've already started moving all my Debian stuff over to Debian Forky, so yeah, same here. While Forky is CURRENTLY still running 6.3.6 same as Trixie, the Debian KDE team is in the process of packaging a newer version (slowly) for sid/testing. I'm done with sticking with moldy oldy plasma versions.

I'm going to stick to the two distros I mentioned in the other thread before the devs closed the thread(and banned me for a few days). Im really happy with them for the time being. Let me know in this thread how it goes, as it might influence me a bit if you have success. I typically don't like using testing.
Will still run Q4OS KDE 5.8 for the time being, plus continue testing the other two distros, assuming I stay onsite.

Forky is up to Plasma 6.5, so I have started converting all my Trixie installs over to Forky...

Thanks for the heads up tlmiller76, but this will be my last post on this site, after the devs banned me for a few days for an off topic post. Im working on another website now , and really enjoying it.

Sad to hear that, crosscourt, as you've been one of the more steady and helpful presences around Q4OS forums since I joined.
Care to enlighten us on to whereabouts you are headed now?

Good choice
We are planning to release and maintain Q4OS testing edition based on Debian Forky. We will post here as soon as it's ready.
