So when I go to Log out it's taking me to TTY1 instead of the gui login screen, Trinity DE. I noticed that when I shutdown the VM it's hanging at 'Job tdm service/stop running for 25secs for it to timeout. I'm guessing here but expect that Trinity DE may not be configured properly? I also noticed that after rebooting the DE isn't remembering my screen resolution. Again making me think that something isn't getting configured correctly.
I can get back to the desktop by logging in and entering `startx` at the prompt.
It's a brand new install installed along side of Windows 10 in a QEMU VM. I'm currently testing Q4OS to install on my 96 year old father's laptop. I'm trying to make sure that I can do it without making a complete mess of his lappy. I've installed Q4OS in another VM as a standalone VM and didn't have these issues.
Thanks,
c

We can confirm this issue, however it occurs on some systems only, mostly in virtual machines, rarely on hardware. It's known unresolved bug, your Trinity desktop is likely configured properly.
