Now I've got to go back and slog through all my customizations and other hacks. The current font in Vivaldi is terrible, and I still don't have the back arrow control (which is very useful for going way back in the history). SIGH....

What version did you use? snaptic, flatpack or downloaded .deb file from them directly?

This is one of the reasons why I think a distro should not use other software sources because they have no control of it.

Re: How to alter Caps Lock key behavior? [SOLVED]

Sorry, I was just trying to express my frustrations, of which there are plenty. No, Vivaldi is a .deb install:  vivaldi-stable_7.4.3684.50-1_amd64.deb . I am not a fan or flatpaks, the main one I have and use is a game that I can't get in any other form ("Warble").

Thanks for all your help. I'll keep trying and try to have more patience, though that was really, really tested.

That's okay, we're just trying to explain why things happen here and there, and we apologize for the "not so good" advices smile The fact is that your setup is a bit complicated and it's a good stress test not only for Q4OS smile

Re: How to alter Caps Lock key behavior? [SOLVED]

Well, that didn't take long. Once again I have to ask -- WHERE do I go to remove icons from the desktop?

OK, NEVERMIND. Configure desktop > "Behavior" (which is not where I would have put this but I'm not in charge! smile )
