Trinity slows down

Just know, I researched Trinity, and for some reason it slows down for me, even though I have a modern computer. Who has Trinity slowed down?

Re: Trinity slows down

Please can you explain with details what the problem precisely is?

Re: Trinity slows down

Since you have a modern computer, it certainly fulfils thehardware requirements.

Difficult to tackle what could have gone wrong with so few details... Everything is possible: hardware failure, corrupted install media, installation problem, voluntary or involuntary modification of parameters / configuration files, incorrect driver installed, improper power off, problematic device connected, problematic program running, too many programs running, and probably many more.

A first advice could be to boot from a Trinity live media and see what happens.

A couple things pop out at me right away.  While modern, that's a SUPER low end CPU (being only dual core), so depending on WHAT the programs you're using are, it could just be the programs themselves are taxing the CPU beyond what it can smoothly handle.
Also, while highly unlikely, how full is your 256GB SSD?  SSD's performance begins to decline around 75% full, and depending on the model, the decline can be rather precipitous to worse than hard drive level performance.

I run trinity on a laptop with the exact same model of i3, and although it is not a powerfull processor, everything is running super smooth (chrome, libreoffice, some windows apps with wine, I even do sometimes virtualization with virtualbox, without any problem of performance. It's a more than sufficient cpu to have a smooth experience with trinity (I think it will even run very well with q4os plasma). In fact this laptop had windows 11 pre-installed, and to be honest, it was running not so bad with windows... so it must fly with Q4os trinity ^^

In regard of this, I think the problem is not the cpu. Maybe as you said, the disk is nearly full or defective ?
